Brava Motorsports announces the company is designing a hybrid supercar that combines the advantages of an electric car with the long distance advantages of a combustion powered car. The Brava S1 Supercar will feature mid-engine exotic car styling, an aluminum modular monocoque space frame, thermoformed
composite body panels, weight approximately 2000 lbs, and average 100 + mpg.
Baumgartner said that he plans on building the prototype and testing the concept, and then having the mpg claims certified by an independent lab as well as respected and well known automotive journalist. The Brava S1 will run in electric mode only or in electric/fuel combination. Production will be limited to 300 cars to insure quality, exclusivity and future value. Price has not yet been determined and will be announced at the introduction in 2012 or 2013
